Thank you for your interest in play/adolescent therapy! I look forward to helping your child learn helpful behaviors, understand his/her emotions, and gain awareness in resolving inner conflicts.

I graduated with my Master’s degree in Counseling at the University of North Texas in 2008. I began my career as a 3rd grade teacher in 2005, and I have been a school counselor for the last 16 years.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Child-Centered Play Therapist. I have worked with children and adolescents of all ages for many years.

  • Cluster Leader for school counselors in Plano ISD

  • Certified Child-Centered Play Therapist

  • Presenter at the Texas Counselor's Association Conference

  • CREST (Counselors Reinforcing Excellence in schools in Texas) Award Winner for 3 years

  • Developed a non-suicidal self-harm protocol for Richardson ISD

  • Assisted in the implementation of an after-hours counseling program for at-risk youth in RISD

  • Trained in Youth Mental Health First Aid

I have worked with some of the most challenging yet resilient students along with hard-working, dedicated, professional educators in the state; they have influenced my work in such a positive way. I enjoy helping others feel safe and happy. I love building relationships, connecting with children, and empowering them to make their own good choices while meeting the challenges of growing up.

I am a proud mom of two daughters. As parents, we are all truly doing the best we can; however, we might need additional support to help our children regulate big emotions, practice social skills, and expand their problem-solving toolbox.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling to new places, playing with my mini Golden Doodle, and supporting students and staff at my favorite local elementary school.
